A special thanks to Delia for helping me out with this wedding.
Sometimes I like to write a little story about my clients, but my words would fail miserably compared to what Lauren and Ryan came up with for their programs. Below is an explanation of their love story. Thanks, Lauren and Ryan, for letting me use this. It’s really worth reading!
The Arithmetic Relationship Logo
By now you surely have seen our wedding “logo,” featured below. You may also have noticed that this logo, while classic in appearance, is actually comprised of a series of
numbers – 2, 5, 8, 10, and 12 – that hold special significance within our relationship. Virtually every important date or other landmark fact central to this celebration and our life together is a function of those numbers:
The letter “L”: twelfth letter in the alphabet (12). The letter “R”: eighteenth letter in the alphabet (8 plus 10). The letter “H”: eighth letter in the alphabet (8).
Lauren’s birthday: May twelfth (5/12). Ryan’s birthday: May second (5/2).Our “initial” meeting (more on this upon request): May fifth (5/5).Our first date: May tenth (5/10). Proposal date and time: October twenty-fourth (10/24) at 12:20 (10 times 2) a.m. Our wedding date: August fourteenth, two thousand and ten (8/14 (12 plus 2)/2010).
We also believe you will enjoy the music throughout today’s ceremony. Chosen specifically with our numbers in mind, the music features selections highlighting (through meter, measure, and verse)
the numbers 2, 5, 8, 10, and 12.
Finally, it provides us great comfort that the middle number in our series – eight – appears sideways in the form of a link at the top of our logo. It further reflects the symbol for infinity, symbolizing our unending dedication to and love for one another. It comes as no surprise, then, that the phrase “LOVE FOREVER” ultimately leads us back to that number eight:
L O V E F O R E V E R
12 15 22 5 6 15 18 5 22 5 18
12 plus 15 plus 22 plus 5 plus 6 plus 15 plus 18
plus 5 plus 22 plus 5 plus 18
equals
143
1 plus 4 plus 3
equals
8
Well, I am no poet, but here is my photo story of their wedding day.
Lauren began getting ready at Salon Seventy Six and while inside, it began to rain — oh my!
Brad was so helpful in driving us from the Salon to Lauren’s home. Thanks Brad!
Lauren shares a small, intimate moment with her grandmother.
I love those Jimmy Choo shoes!
Hey Katie, that’s my job!
Those boys have all the time in the world to get ready.

Hello, Lauren and Ryan!
This was a memorable and emotional speech.
